Four Directions at Weybosset Crossings Tour in Providence, Rhode Island is about a two tenths of a mile walk round trip.  The complete tour is an hour,  with forty five minutes on the walk, stopping at four different places of reference and fifteen minutes of question and answers at the end of the tour. Local Indigenous Native Americans lead a walk, rich in land and people’s history, before, during and after colonial America. The tour’s content includes historic Native American indigenous homeland places that matter and Colonial area sites of great significance to the founding of the United States.  The tour consists of traditional and contemporary music performances, an optional audience participation in songs of water blessings, and ceremony that commemorates where African and Native Americas were sold as slaves. Annawans Rock is located in Rehoboth, Massachussets. Annawan was the subchief of Massasoit, Wamsutta, and Metacomet aka King Phillip. Annawan lead the Pokanoet tribe to safety after Metacomet was killed at Mauntaup. The location of the rock is where Annawan was captured. The tour meets at Annawans Rock and Native American Wampanoag and Eastern Woodland Indigenous people tour guides lead the way and tell the story of the land and the people of Annawan’s rock. The tour is an hour. Rock climbing is optional and one must sign a waiver to participate in this tour. Wear Rugged shoes. Tours are $50 a person with a group of 30. Metacomet’s Throne is located in Bristol, Rhode Island at a place called Mount Hope. It’s original name was Mauntaump. The tour is one hour with forty five minutes of Wampanoag people telling the story of King Phillip’s War in the Native American Indigenous person’s perspective. One must sign a waiver to participate in this tour There will be a fifteen minute segment for questions. Wear rugged shoes. Tours are $50 a person with a group of 30.
